A friend of ours, Venessa, who teaches yoga at our retreats came down to help us with the renovations for our new shop which will be opening soon. Bhima, our farm dog and mascot, lent his moral support while we all worked.
On Thursday night we had a goodbye ceremony for Derek, who has been residing at Hare Krishna Valley for the last four and a half months as a volunteer worker. He is now going to America to take care of some business, but he promises to return soon.
On the weekend, we hosted a working bee at Hare Krishna Valley which was attended by 10 of our friends from Melbourne. They helped us pick 200 kg of butternut pumpkins from our organic market garden and weed our flower garden to prepare for the planting of new bulbs. Everyone enjoyed their day, and were rewarded with a delicious lunch prepared by Derek.
