Over the weekend, my wife and I attended the 40th anniversary of the beginning of the Sydney Hare Krishna Temple. The event was attended by 80 of the original members of our movement in Australia, who flew in from all over the world to participate.
On Saturday 200 Hare Krishna devotees danced and chanted for 2 hours next to the Sydney Opera House. The public were amazed by the devotional chanting of our members. On Sunday we all went on a boat cruise around Sydney harbour for 4 hours, in which we chanted, heard about the early days of our movement, socialized and enjoyed a wonderful vegetarian feast offered to Krishna. To be honest, this was probably the most enjoyable weekend of my life.
