We are back after a successful pilgrimage to the holy places in India, we arrived back in Australia feeling spiritually purified and enthused. The day after we arrived, we had our Sunday feast at Hare Krishna Valley, which attracted 50 guests and devotees alike. Although I was jet-lagged, I managed to give a one hour explanation about the basics of practicing Krishna Consciousness. The audience was enthusiastic, and they asked some stimulating questions at the end of the class. We then enjoyed a wonderful feast of vegetarian food offered to Krishna. Our process is simple, we just dance and chant, hear a little philosophy and feast on delicious purified food stuff.
We then spent most of last week preparing for our wood chop which takes place twice a year. Manigriva cut down a huge gum tree which was dead after being hit by lightning. We managed to get 8 ton of wood from this tree alone which will now dry out for the next 6 months until winter comes again.
We look forward to speaking to you again next week.
Until then, I remain yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada.
